Speculate and Profane
I think it's true of what happen in our society and what we do about profane and speculating of objects in this world.
There are many people in this world who are trying to raise the price or the cost of their goods by doing sort of things like for example, the TWG Tea, they serve the tea in a nice old emperor style cup with some gold finished. Hire good looking american-asia men wearing tuxedo guarding around at the corner of the stall. With chandelier lighting, small cake in a nice white basket and selling them in the most luxurious shopping mall 'Siam Paragon'. There are more than 100 types of teas from all around the world putting in a nice glass bottle on a big display shelter. So, this is a way how a company change people perception visually and environmentally which it affects the taste of 'drinking' the tea. Now consumers are not drinking just the tea or how sweet it taste but drinking the pride and luxury into themselves. So, that was speculating.
Profane, it is to demolish something. It usually happens when people making fun or joke of something that is popular at that time. People laugh at it which those attitude takes down the respect of the subject. but sometimes by making fun of someone or something, it might eventually leads the subject becomes popular. With popularity things get speculated again which these contradiction between speculation and profane somehow having a inter-relation loop in them.
To give an example of profane, my preference idea is the way kids or even adult cartoonist or designer draw a mustache of the face of someone on the newspaper, magazine or billboard. I thnk it is also a kind of demolishing the subject. They degrade the value of it.
